Starbucks Test Card v. 2

Considered mega rare is this Starbucks Test Card. It was used to "work" the system before the launch of the Starbucks Card Program to the general public. This card was sent to stores (about 3500 at the time) with instructions to run multiple balance inquiries on the card throughout the day in order to assure that the system could handle the upcoming 2001 holiday rush. It's assumed this card was used during the first week of November, 2001. On the back of the card there are instructions that the store manager was to follow to perform the system test. The last instruction was to cut and dispose of the card.

These cards do not function like regular Starbucks Cards and cannot be reloaded or redeemed. Only balance inquiries can be performed on them.
