Father's Day (Taiwan)
Father's Day
Released around the middle of July, 2012, is the first Fathers Day Starbucks Card for Taiwan. The official name is ADORE, giving gratitude to the dads, elders, husbands and boyfriends, hence the rendering of different facial expressions.

In Taiwan, Father's Day is not an official holiday, but is widely observed on August 8, the eighth day of the eighth month of the year. In Mandarin Chinese, the pronunciation of both the number 8 and the month of August is ba . This pronunciation is very similar to the character "?" "bà", which means "Papa" or "father". The Taiwanese, therefore, usually call August 8 by its nickname, "Baba Holiday".

As far as the Card design, it shows a number of coffee cups incorporating various men's attire and looks (as mentioned above). The center of the Card says: To Someone Special. Note the use of the "O" in TO, designed with a heart shape. Also the second "O" in SOMEONE has a "happy face" icon. One other noteworthy observation is the lack of the clear panel on the far right under the sirens eye.
