2023 is the (12th) twelfth year for the Chinese New Year zodiac Starbucks Card. For 2023 - it's YEAR OF THE Rabbit*, scheduled for release in the U.S. and Canadian markets early 2023, as the Chinese New Year for 2023 is officially celebrated on Tuesday - February 1st, based on the new moon.

Chinese New Year starts on January 22nd, 2023. Also known as the Lunar New Year or Spring Festival, Chinese New Year is celebrated at the second new moon following the Winter Solstice. This festival marks the end of winter and the beginning of a long-awaited spring! According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit.

What does the Rabbit mean?

The rabbit is the fourth animal in the Chinese zodiac. In the Chinese culture, the rabbit is known to be the luckiest out of all the twelve animals. It symbolizes mercy, elegance, and beauty. People who are born in the year of the rabbit are calm and peaceful. They avoid fighting and arguing at all times, but are artistic and have good taste in life. This is why they pay close attention to small details and make sure everything is done correctly. They are insecure and sensitive people who don't like to be criticized, which causes them to dislike changes.
